Full course description

This course will provide an overview of multilevel models and their application to health data. Multilevel models are used when observations are nested, such as individuals nested in neighborhoods, children nested in families, repeated measures nested in individuals, or patients nested within doctors. Multilevel models account for the clustering of health outcomes and variation. In addition, multilevel models can help address important questions about the influence of factors at different levels and their interactions, as well as how health outcomes vary within and between groups. Assignments and examples will use SAS statistical software.
